What is going on everyone thanks for joining us is Chingasso's combat crew. You're one stock shop for all your combat news. Thank you for tuning into this week's episode. We got another banger of an episode. We're just off the cusp of UFC 296. I'm gonna be going over all the results, all the fights you care about. I got karate combat 43 results and uncle Dana dropped a handful of fight announcements last night. Let's get into it everybody already. Hopefully your week is kicking off to a starting on a wonderful start. Again, thank you for tuning in. I got a little bit of him. A nice Treat for y'all. You know how I like to start the show with something cool to watch or listen to. Stumbled upon this on the reddit's Mind Picker to podcast. Check it out. He had an episode where he interviewed Old UFC cut man, stitch Duran. Give it a follow. Give him a follow. Give it a listen to some Really short interview. But he dropped some gems of a story, including one Pretty gross story involving Jay here on, and Jonathan Goulet Said it was one of the bloodiest fights he's ever been a part of. So again, check him out mind picker on Spotify. He's also got a pretty cool interview with Leonard Garcia that I'm about to wrap up. So again, one more time Mind picker on Spotify. Give him a follow, give him a listen. All right, last night, ufc 296, holy Smokes last pay-per-view of the year. I want to give a big shout out to everybody out there who had a successful Parley last night. That includes this guy right here. Took all year, but I finally hit a parlay. Hit a little seven picker, so it's kind of a hell, mary, but I made it. It would have been an eight picker but, uh, somebody decided not to show up. You guys know who that is. You guys know who that is now Exactly. Let's get into this man. One of the bangin his fights on the prelims Andre touchy-feely Taking on Lucas Almeida. Let's check this out. This ended up being a finish Q it up. Here we are, round one, andre Fili in the center of the cage Taking control of what in the low leg kick from Almeida. But boom, holy shit, did you see that right hand? But douche, crooked, damn. Almeida had no idea what was going on for a sec. Fili follows him down rainy shots from above. Looks like Almeida's got his wits about. Oh, not anymore, she's. Yeah, he was okay. Damn touchy Fili, that was a bangin right hand, bro. Check that one more time. Oh Right, on the job. Right in the chin boo fucking a Damn. What a finish for Andre touchy Fili. Good to see him back in the wing column and let's see what he can do. He always puts on fun fights, man. He doesn't win all the time, but he does come to put on a good show. So shout out touchy Fili getting that win again. Good luck, congratulations, bro, congrats. Next fight up. We had the ladies Kasey O'Neill taking on ariana Lipsky. Check this out. Lipsky had Jasmine Roach in her corner. So you? So I think that arianae had a Muay Thai background, but, dude, you got Jasmine Roach in your corner. Your GB JJ is gonna start leveling up super quick, and that's exactly what happened here. Check this ish out. We're in the second round and Lipsky was pretty much dominant Takes the back, starts trying to sink in a rear naked and at this point Lipsky would was punch drunk. I think she had taken a bunch of shots. But check this out. What a slick transition by Lipsky. And I don't think your arm is supposed to bend like that, guys. It looks like it's bending normally, but it's bending the opposite way. Let's take a peek at that one more time here. It is nice transition, look at this from the hunting Looking for the back Transitioning to the arm bar. I wonder if she looks like she's been that, like something she's done all the time. That is slick. And look how she has that shink chuck, tucked right under her chin so she can't get out. Dude, what a finish. That was slick. Some good looking Jiu Jitsu there, man, all right, next up. What did we have? What did we have next Next fight? Oh, yeah, the boy Cody. No love guard brand taking on Brian Keller. And is Cody back? Or was just just a really good matchup, an easy matchup for him? Might have been that. This is what you're supposed to do against people that are lesser competition. So, early round one, keller stalking Garbrand Look at that guard brand Loads him, baits them, drops him with the right hand, hits I'm sorry, not hit, drop some, but doesn't load a big right hand. A couple combos following them back up. Oh, drops them. And that was it. Man, damn Cody. Look at this. This is almost like Cody versus Raphael Sunsal. Remember at the end of round one when a Sunsal got Cody stuck against the cage and Cody dropped a right hand that ended the fight. Look at this. It's almost trying to do that bat, step right into it to put him on skates. One, two, three, four Pushes away, misses with that big right hand. But then he's waiting and waiting and boom, dude, what was that? Was that a left and a right? This is a right. Just a big right hand. Crack right in the face, in the face, round one finish. Cody Garbrandt back in the win column. My dude, it's always good to see this guy getting a W, always good to see him not taking extra damage as well. Shout out, cody, let's see what's next. Bro, keep the win going. Keep the wins Alright next up. I think this was the last fight on the. Oh no, it wasn't. This was co-main event of the pre-lens and oh, I don't know. Actually, I think this was main event of the pre-lens Irene Aldana versus Carol Rosa, and I just saw an interview Dana gave this was fight of the night. These girls went all three rounds. Irene Aldana, I just want, I just I usually don't like showing the decisions, but I just want you, if you're watching this or if you're listening, head over to our YouTube page, chingassos Crew. Alright, youtube, chingassos Crew, but check out their face. Look at this. Ain't nobody going to the club here, man. Irene's legs were all beat up, mouth bleeding. Carol Rosa's face is all ballooned up. But dang, I didn't tell you who won, but it was Irene. You can't tell from that video. But Irene Aldana won that fight so she's back in the win column. After taking that big L versus Amanda Nunez a while back, I thought maybe she might try to put on a show and get an early finish, but Carol Rosa was kicking the crap out of her leg in the first round. So I think she, irene lost the first round. I would have gave the first round to Carol because she was just tagging that left leg up. Credit to Irene. Man, irene is a beast. She walked through those leg kicks and didn't give an F. She didn't change her game plan at all, just kept punching, kept punching and eventually she wore Carol out. So shout out, irene Aldana. Let's get into the pay-per-view portion of last night's fight. Take a sip of my prime real quick y'all. Oh yeah, it's time to get into the pay-per-view portion of UFC 296. The opening bout on the card was Josh Emmett taking on last two week replacement, bryce Arkansas Mitchell, and damn, it did not take long. And Jesus, check this out. Here's the end of Josh Emmett taking the center of the cage, and I want to say that Josh tagged him up a little bit before this. So Bryce felt the power earlier. And look at that dude, one hitter quitter, bro, one hitter quitter. Look at that. He just ducked his head down through that right hand and Bryce went right into it. I don't know if you guys got to watch this at all or if there's, I'm sure there's clips of it, but Bryce ended up having like some seizures in the cage a little bit after this. So luckily the camera turned away and they didn't show it. But good lord man, I think this is another angle here that I've a video I found this morning on Reddit. Of course, shout out to the boys at Reddit. This was posted by rough underscore media and they're tidally in it the most brutal KO in fair the way history. Check it out one more time. Look at this. This was another angle. You can just see it from the back, son of a bitch. And I think it was a little bit after that that he started seizing up and then the camera cut off right away. So he was on skates even in the post fight interview, rogan just kept going on and on about how they shouldn't let him up and shouldn't let him walk out. I agree, I think that should be like norm, like the norm should be like when you get knocked out, like that. That should be like NFL concussion protocol style Like don't let the dude get up, bring a stretcher out just for safety's sake, just for the health and safety of the fire, and get him checked out at a hospital immediately get a brain scan, because that punch could have been like I don't know career ending. It looked severe enough for sure that he's going to have to take a break. So hopefully Bryce Mitchell recovers. Bryce, we need you in the UFC, bro, you are a gem. Your personality shines through. I don't give a shit if you're a flat earth or not. You got awesome stories. You're an awesome fighter. Well wishes, my friend. I hope you recover. And Josh Emmett hey, you got the W. Now let's see what's next for you bro. Oh guys, the fight that nobody wanted, nobody asked for, but they gave it to us anyways. Tony Ferguson taking on Patty Pimlet. I don't have any highlights from this. You know why? Because there weren't none, so I'm just going to share some picks. It was a three round snooze fest. Tony does not have any sweeps. Tony does not know how to get up from the bottom. That was the story of the night. Patty kind of tagged up. Patty tagged up Tony kind of whenever he wanted. There was no power shots, tony was just leaving his chin out on a platter and every once in a while Patty would pepper him with some shots, eventually get in close, secure a takedown where Tony was not able to do anything except maybe throw some elbows from the bottom every now and then. But he never attempted to put his feet on Patty's hips. He never tried to sweep Patty. He never tried to get up. He did try to throw those long legs up Maybe. I mean, I don't know why he didn't try for a triangle or anything. You know, even even his boy, david Goggins, was yelling at him in the third round to get up and he didn't. So I don't know what was going on in his head. But this may be the last. This may have been the last time we see Tony of Kukui Ferguson in the UFC. I don't, I don't. There's. There's nothing left for the dude man. He needs to either take a very long break or he's probably going to end up getting released, because I saw a crazy stat that said he's like oh and seven in his last seven fights and he's just not the same fighter anymore. Man, it's sad to see and I don't want to see him getting hurt anymore. I don't think that the decision to retire should be made by your boss, but hopefully Tony has, uh, a real deep down conversation with himself, because only he's the one that's gonna be able to make that decision. But, uh, if that was the last time we saw him. Thank you for the memories, my brother, and let's see what happens next in your next phase of your career. Because this is not it, bro, this is not it. So Patty gets the W. What's next for Patty? He's not ranked right now. So I on the screen right now. I got the bottom five in the lightweight rankings, 15 through 11 on the screen. At number 15, drew Dober. Number 14 Bobby the King Green, number 13. He not told my kind of number 12 Mine and Fonzos favorite at the moment. Ben was on Denise and number 11 RDA, rafael dos años I don't even know how that dudes up there still, but hey, he's there at the moment. Hinato Moicano and Drew Dober do have an appointment to scrap, so you can take those two out of a mix. So that only leaves RDA. Bobby Green, who just got murked a while back, so he's probably not gonna be fighting Anytime soon. Well, yeah, well, I mean I guess he could. Or Ben was on Denise now Ben was on, denise is on the come up fighting. Patty's not gonna do anything for him. It's that. Give him a highlight reel, which I'm down for. I am down for that could even be a main event of USC fight night, but so could a fight with Bobby Green or RDA. So let's just see what the UFC decides to do. But I would love to see. Ben was on Denise and Patty, but I don't think Patty can be any of these guys. I don't think Patty can be drew. Dober no doubt for sure. He wouldn't be drew. I don't think he could be. I mean he might be able to beat Bobby, but just depends how Bobby recovered from that Murder that we talked about. Henato would be a scrap, but I think Henato would get him as well. Ben was on. Denise will straight up murder Patty. Don't even look for that fight, patty. You see Ben was on the knee down the street. You go the other way, bro, you go the other way Ralph, of those annuals. He's a bit older, but you know he's a motherfucker and he comes to fight. So I don't think he could get him either. So we'll see. They were. They were asking him in the post fight Show if he wanted to fight on UFC 300. He said that he will not be able to because that's when he's around the time he's expecting twin girls. So congratulations, patty, on the twins, congratulations on the W, enjoy it and let's see what happens next. Man, we'll probably be seeing Patty late spring, early summer. You know UFC 300 probably gonna be in April. I think it is April, april 13th or something like that. So we'll probably see Patty May, june, july, because once the twins if the twins are coming in April, he's probably gonna want to spend some time with them, you know, and then he'll get into a camp after that, I would imagine. So we'll see, probably won't be seeing Patty till the summertime. Rose, this was a funny-ass pic. So, again, if you're listening, head over to the YouTube channel, I got a picture of Shafqa all pimped out in all his awesome wolf clothing. So he's got the wolf hat, it's got this sick robe that's got fur around the neck and he's sitting on a chair that's decked out in wolf and the armchairs are actually wolf heads with the fangs sticking out. It's pretty intense and the caption says Bring me air. Ian Gary's wife. Bro, that's some Conan the barbarian shit man. Leave Ian Gary alone, guys. Leave him alone. All right, let's get into this scrap. You know what's next Shafqa rock bonaf taking on Steven Wonder Boy Thompson. Steven Thompson actually walked out with tenacious D and they weren't playing Wonder Boy live, but it was up in the building. Check this out. This did not go well, for this is second round. Shafqa spins around to the back after trying to take Wonder Boy down. He immediately tries to sink in a rear-naked. He's got it on the chin. He doesn't even have hooks in. He's like fuck your hooks, I don't need them. Ten seconds to go. I Did have rock mana, but I also had another parlay where I went on the over in this fight because I thought Wonder Boy was gonna survive. But nope, apparently nobody survives this dude. So that's his 17th or 18th winning a row and they're all Finishes, every single one of them. So there it is. One more time. Check that out Sinking it under Wonder Boy's like yo, seven seconds, bro. Nope, I'm out of here. I Want to save my jaw so that I can have some spaghetti later. Teach karate class on Tuesday, I don't know, I don't know. All right, so Shafqa's moving on. I'm gonna be talking a little bit more about Shafqa, and just a bit, and we'll go up there as we share the rankings, because we did have Another fight in the welterweight division main event, but that's neither here nor there, as Fonzo or Luke Thomas likes to say. So, in between the co-main event and and Wonder Boy and Shafqa, we had something going on in the stands. So in the pre pre-fight interviews or Media day the day before the fight, you know they had all the fighters up there. They're interviewing them, asking questions. Ddp said something along the lines of I'm gonna be Sean Strickland's asked the way Sean's dad did, and Before that, sean O'Malley said something about Sean Getting and this is super sensitive I hope I don't offend anybody out there, I don't mean to, I don't take this stuff lightly talking about this but uh, basically said that his dad sexually assaulted Sean when he was a kid and that should completely be off the table, dude. I mean, you guys already heard what Colby said about Leon's dad, that that's kind of crossing a little. If that's crossing the line, this was definitely crossing the line and DDP just jumped on it and Sean was not having anything To do with it. He got pretty pissed off, got heated at the press conference. And why the UFC did this, I have no idea. Probably did it on purpose, bro. They probably did this on purpose. I wouldn't be surprised. They sat these two dudes a row apart, so Sean was in row one, there was a row behind Sean and then behind that row was DDP. So check out this video that I found. So here we have Sean, front row. He stands up. Apparently DDP had been talking shit back there and he got and Sean heard it. So cameras turn on to the boys. Sean DDP stands up, starts flexing. Sean stands up, flexes, turns back, does like the handgun gesture, pretends like he's shooting at DDP and then DDP turn or, I'm sorry, sean Turns around because he's. It looks like DDP saying something. Sean hears it. Sean turns around. Sean reach. Sean stops talking to DDP briefly and ask the family sitting directly behind Sean if they can move. That family standing sitting right behind Sean happens to be Gilbert. Dutinho Burns his wife and his younger son. So Sean politely asked Dutinho son if he could stand up and step over, because he doesn't want him to get hurt. Because what is he about to do? To watch this? Good, boom, sean jumps the row and starts dropping hammers on DDP. Ddp takes Sean down, they get separated and then DDP starts laughing. Apparently that's what he wanted to do. So, ladies and gentlemen, we have a story on our hands. You know I'm a sucker for this. So, yeah, why did the UFC do this? I do not know. Hopefully nobody there got hurt. I think Dutinho and his family was actually laughing about this later. So hopefully little Dutinho didn't get too Shook up about this. But he's gonna be a hero for a little while. I'm sure we're gonna be seeing some memes here by teeding up real, real quickly here, ddp getting on the nerves of Sean Strickland, not giving an F about crossing the line or whatever. All right, y'all, let's get into co-main event Alexander Pantosia taking on Brandon Rawdog Royville for the flyweight title. So this was Pantosia's first defense of the flyweight strap and he took him a little bit longer to do what he did the last time, because the last time these guys fought. He got the rear naked in the second round, I believe maybe the third round, but in this one Rawdog stuck around the entire five rounds Once it got to around four. Around five. You could definitely tell that there was one fighter that had more gas in the tank than the other. And Just like in the Brandon Moreno and Alexandra Pantosia fight, pantosia does Doug deep. Doug deep persevered, got the takedowns when he needed to and was able to control Brandon when he counted the most. And I gave it 50 45 to Pantosia. He does end up winning the decision and I got the judges scorecard. So judge one had it 49 46. He ends up giving round five to Brandon, and judge two gave it 50 45 to Pantosia. Judge three gave it 50 45 to Pantosia as well. So I got no Disagreement with that, even in round five. That was probably Royville's best round and when Pantosia got the takedowns he was really just trying to get his breath back, even though Brandon was on the bottom. He was throwing shots, throwing punches, throwing elbows. So he was the busier fighter, just wasn't busy enough. So now Pantosia First title defense. Congratulations, my brother. Let's see what kind of sharks are swimming around in the Flyway division. So I got the top five fighters in the flyway division, starting at number one, brandon Moreno, number two, brandon Royville, number two, amir Al-Bazi, number four, kkf, number five, matthias Nicolau and number six, number six, number six, manel Cape. So at the moment, I believe Manel Cape and Matthias Nicolau Next month, amir Al-Bazi and Brandon Moreno also have a fight coming up pretty soon. I think that's like the UFC Mexico City card coming up in February, march somewhere around there. So the only one who doesn't have a fight at the moment is KKF, but he hasn't done anything to merit a title shot. So whoever puts on a Performance of the night or just a really good show could probably steal this. Because, I mean, I don't think People want to see a Pantosia Brandon Moreno for Right, I don't know. I mean, although that even though that would be a sick-ass fight, they might want to try to give somebody else. Unless Brandon beats the shit out of Amir, which he told he could, what if he finishes him? You know what I mean? Like just devastating style, like just killer KO or a killer Knock, knock down that leads to a crazy finish, but at the same time, man Manel Cape Needs that rematch to go out. Go back and watch Manel Cape and Alexandra Pantosia. That was a scrap. I almost feel like Manel Cape is the only dude in the division I can match the intensity and violence of Alexander Pantosia. He's got that stop and punch in power man. So I can't wait to see what Manel does against Matthias. That should be a good fight, but this could be a title in like a little tournament here. The winner of Manel Cape and Matthias could face the winner of Brandon, roy, of Brandon and Alba Z. If it's a boring fight or one of those guys can just leapfrog everybody, but KKF is just sitting there on the sidelines. I don't. I wonder what's going on. So stay tuned to the flightway division. We're gonna see things get shook up pretty, pretty soon. Alright. So main event Kobe chaos Covington taking on Leon Edwards. I don't have a highlight for this because it was kind of a Not gonna say it was a boring fight, but it was. It was. Leon did what he had to do to secure the fight. He outstruck Kobe and he even out wrestled Kobe. He got Kobe taken down. Kobe, I believe, took Leon down once, maybe like in the third round, but Leon was able to Immediately scramble and get back up to his feet right away, whereas when Leon scored some takedowns he did have Kobe down for a little bit longer, even though Kobe was able to get back up. But yeah, man, leon pretty much had control of that entire fight. I Very easily could have given that 50 45 to Leon. I got the judges scorecards on the screen right now. Judge one gave it to Leon 49 46. Judge two gave it to Leon 49 46, as well as that third judge 49 46. So it looks like everybody gave around five to Kobe, which is, yeah, it was almost like too little, too late, because he really didn't start doing anything until the fourth round. And in the post fight interview Kobe was saying it was ring rust. He was worried about pulling the trigger, he wasn't sure if he was gonna have that gas tank. But, dude, that's all you have is your gas tank. You never weaponized that and Leon didn't have anything to worry about. Leon didn't look tired, leon didn't get swelled up. He did get touched every now and then, but it was nothing that he had to worry about. So yeah that is a done deal, leon, and still. So let's look at the rankings. This is what I'm talking about. Let's see what's next. Obviously, the next person in line is Bilal. Should be Bilal, right, but right below Bilal we got Kobe, who just lost, before underneath him we got Gilbert and then underneath him we got Shafka. So Shafka just beat Wonder Boy last night. Do Ninos already paired up with a JDM, and Dana's gonna be making an announcement in a little bit. I'll be playing that so you can see. The only ones who don't have fights at the moment is number one and number two Kamaru and Bilal. I don't think that they're gonna make them fight, but they could, and that would be pretty messed up for to make Bilal fight one more time again. So maybe we'll see Bilal and Leon and UFC 300, or Shafka and Cut and Leon, ufc 300. I don't know, man, I don't know Dana's talking crazy shit. He's saying I don't know if I got it on the slideshow or not, but he's saying that when we see the card for UFC 300 and we see the opening bout on the early prelims, we're gonna say something along the lines of like what the fuck? This guy's opening the card. So supposedly it's gonna be loaded, but I don't know. You know, dana. Oh, speaking of the devil, let's check him out.
Speaker 3:Here is uncle Dana Post fight interview last night, I guess before I get started, I'll announce some fights for you guys here. This Miami cart is stacking up to be badass Michael Venom page versus Kevin Holland song you don't versus John Gilbert, verge versus Jack Della and Ian Gary versus Jeff Neil.
Speaker 1:Oh, did you all hear that? Did y'all hear that? So it sounds like Venom page officially signed with the UFC, gonna be taking on Kevin Holland, ufc 299 in Miami song you don't gonna be fighting pewter yon, bro. Yes, yes, that is the fight tons of people wanted to see. That's gonna be awesome, that's gonna be awesome. And then me and Fonzo talked about it Fonz's boy, jdm, taking on Gilbert Burns and Ian Gary and Jeff Neil. They're gonna run it back. They're gonna run it back. So hopefully both gentlemen end up showing up to the dance because remember, jeff Neil got pulled from that for injury and then Ian Gary Mysteriously came down with pneumonia, so we didn't get to see him last night. Oh Well, next story. So I think I talked about this a couple of weeks ago after Islam destroyed Alexander Volkanovsky. But he says he doesn't want to fight Charlie Olips and he wants gaugy. So he kind of wants to like follow in his mentors footsteps, kabeep, and he wants to take out Justin gaugy. So we'll see what happens. Keep your ears peeled. You know we'll have the news for you here, so stay tuned. This is some bullshit Connor McGregor trying to get a boxing match against pewter yon. Luckily, I don't know if that's really gonna happen. This is some crazy. It's got to be some Russian boxing show or some shit. But pewter yon and Connor McGregor were in the house. They didn't have a little face-off and they were teasing that these two dudes are gonna fight in a boxing match. I don't give a crap about that, connor. Get your ass in the cage. Bro, stop messing around, pewter. They already gave you a fight against song, you don't? So let's focus on that, bro. I Uh, we also talked about this. You know we love that BKFC. We got that love for it over here, all right. So a California state athletic commission officially voted to approve bare knuckle fighting in the state. Bkfc has already announced plans to take a card there in the spring 20, 24. And last year, when we went to Tachi palace for your eye favors a one combat, they did hint that they were trying to bring BKFC to Tachi. So let's keep our fingers crossed and maybe we'll get to see BKFC at Tachi palace soon. All right, oh yeah. And they also approved slap fighting who gives up? All right, here's the announcement yeah, oh, I was talking about this when I was going through the lightweight rankings Drew Dober going to be taking on Henato Moicano UFC. Las Vegas UFC fight night show February 3rd probably going to be an apex card. So, yeah, that's going to be a banger of a fight man, drew Dober. You know Henato don't back down, neither does Drew Dober. So these two are going to meet in the middle and they're going to slang and bang man. So this is kind of funny. Actually, it's not kind of funny, but here's allegations on the screen. So apparently, ben Wasandini did an interview in France and he dropped this quote, or a truth bomb, I don't know. Regarding the Nermageta Nermagometta family, I no longer have any doubts. They are loaded like mules. They are intelligent in the way they do drugs. They know how to do it very well. Makaka, the current champion, got caught in 2016. He got busted with Maldonium. And what the freak is, maldonium Bros? I looked it up. Maldonium, sold under the brand name Mulder Nate, is a PED that is the source of much debate in the world of sports doping, initially designed in Latvia for use in animals. Wada has indicated that this drug is banned in Olympic sports. Hey, maybe he just didn't read the fine print, bro. You don't know, we don't know, bro. He's passed every drug test since, so they're either really smart or he's just not on drugs, and I think everybody should be on something, because these guys are grinding their bodies every day. Dude, you can't do that. You're literally grinding bone on bone each and every day, getting punched in the face, getting kicked in the stomach. That shit hurts man. You can't just sleep for eight hours and that's going to go away. They need extra help. So as long as it's being monitored and no one's doing more than they're supposed to, I don't see a problem with this man. Have them get this at the PI. They're already coming in for nutrition and workouts so it can be monitored there. Make them come in every six weeks or every I don't know. Have them do blood work every so often. You're already following them around, stalking them with Usada before. What's the difference now? All right. So here are some other UFC two 99 fight announcements that got announced this week. Totally forgot about this one RDA going to be taking on one of my favorites. My tie is gamrod, so winner takes control of the ins. Actually, mode ties is like In the top five I want to say top six somewhere, and we already saw RDA. Rda is at number 11. So if RDA looks good man. If he can stop the takedown, my ties is in for a rough night because he's his stand-ups not all there, but his wrestling is on point and so is his gas tank. All right, you guys ready for more UFC two 99 fight announcements? Of course you are. Jelton, I'll meet it taking on Curtis blades. Let's go. If Jelton cannot get the takedown, he is in for some serious, serious trouble because Curtis has hammers and Curtis wins when he's not fighting someone who's got one shot KO power. So should be a good one man. I'm glad that they're. They're running this one back, because we were supposed to be seeing this, remember, but Curtis got injured or sick and then that's when Derek Lewis stepped in. So glad they're running it back. They're also doing this Amanda Lemmos taking on Tatiana Suarez, and this actually isn't a UFC two 99 card. This is UFC two 98, anaheim. So these two fights Jelton and Curtis, miami, matias Gamera, rda, miami, and Tatiana and Amanda going down UFC two 98 Anaheim. That's going to be the Iliad to porgya and Volkan off ski fight. So they're starting to roll out fights for that card as well as this one. Check it out. Ty to Vasa taking on Marcin Ty Bura. Looks like the UFC is trying to throw a Ty a bone here, so this should be a one hitter quitter for Ty. Don't get knocked out, bro, we need to keep seeing you in the UFC. So there was some rumors going around the internet that one had a horrible 2023 and was hemorrhaging money. Hopefully that's not true, but if it is, hopefully this news that I'm about to share with you all helps him out. One just signed a deal with Sky Sports to announce an exclusive partnership. So now one championship and this doesn't pertain to us, because we don't get Sky Sports over here, but the UK does so everybody on the other side of the pond enjoy it. Free fights. One championship, so this is just one expanding their reach. So that's pretty good, man. More fans never hurt anybody. Uh, one one sixty five coming up January. We talked about this couple shows ago, remember I think the main event was gonna be Rod Tang and to Kura. They also announced Shinya Yoki, and I forgot the guy who got it the shit beat out of a mo wago. But uh, now they're also announcing this Gary Tonin, martin Nuggin. So Gary Tonin is always fun to watch, all right, so check this out. I was talking about this a little while ago. This is Dana White on TNT Sports talking about UFC.
Speaker 2:How difficult is having a big event like UFC 300 in the calendar for next year and Getting all the moving parts in the right place to create the card that you want to create?
Speaker 3:because if we look at 102 and they were absolutely ridiculous- Well, the difference between a 300 is listen, if you look at the card this weekend's cards awesome, you know what I mean. So you want to build these amazing cards that make people lose their minds, but there's also much more to it, too, with with the 300. There's this whole epic Nice roll feel of the show gonna be, you know you know, we put on a live event and a television show too, and what are we gonna build around the event? What's gonna make 300 more special than this Saturday night?
Speaker 1:Brock.
Speaker 3:Lesnar paper view of the year. So there's a lot more rocker is versus Roger Brown's the card, but what you can expect is the first prelim of the night for you to be going like holy, this is the first prelim of the night. This is insane. These two shouldn't be on the first prelim of the night.
Speaker 2:Can I make a request and I know that you're not gonna tell me some of the matchups that you're trying to make for 300, but one request is a fan, and again I know that there's no room for nostalgia or sentiment rock listener.
Speaker 1:I know that he's already got a fight for a gym.
Speaker 2:Miller oh, he was on 100. He was on 200. I would love to see him on 300. I know that he's got a fight booked on the 13th of January, but if we could get him on that card man, that would be sensational.
Speaker 3:Yeah, what a story. That is a great story. That is a great story.
Speaker 2:I'd even give you the matchup, the winner of Tony and Paddy this weekend. I'll.
Speaker 3:Get that done for you put it in this crazy room at some point. Yeah, I'll get Jim Miller on the card for you. That'll be. Consider that done. We've got a check on that's a fire in Christmas.
Speaker 2:Present to you, that's a finding contract.
Speaker 1:I like it. Well, we'll see. He's already going across his world. I've seen Jim Miller on the card Awesome. But it's not UFC 300, dude, come on. All right. This past Friday night we had karate combat at 43 Las Vegas and you know what? Aesthetically it was amazing. Just like they always do, they put on such a cool show man. The background was like futuristic cyberpunk style space theme, you know what I mean. There was a packed crowd, but, uh, co-main event and main event, just, they just did not deliver for me. Man, sam Alvy taking on Ross turbo Levine Sam Alvy ends up securing the unanimous decision and Sam Alvy basically just used bully MMA tactics to beat Ross Levine. Man, ross Levine looked like he didn't know what the heck was going on. He was playing checkers. Sam Alvy was playing chess. Yeah, it was just, it was just bad man. And then the main event, anthony Pettis taking on Benson Henderson. Anthony Pettis ends up getting the unanimous decision, victory. He, uh, gosh man, it was just, um, just a letdown, just a letdown. Look like Anthony Pettis was way more familiar with the ruleset. Then Benson Henderson and Benson Henderson kind of did it, didn't really Turn it on until like round four and round five and by then, anthony Pettis was so far ahead on points that it didn't even matter. So I don't know if they'll run it back. I don't even know if they really need to. It was a fun fight on paper, but it just didn't Produce enough for me. So if you want to check it out, go for it. It's it is on YouTube karate combat 43, and this was actually pretty cool. I did want to share the share this with you. This was a story that came out earlier in the week about the famous Anthony Pettis Showtime kick, so check it out. Let me see if I can get this video playing for us right now. So he's talking about the showtime kick and apparently Somebody got kicked in the balls.
Speaker 2:I jumped off. I kicked him in the nuts. I saw my UFC fighter nuts.
Speaker 1:Co-blooded so you can actually see the cameraman, like yeah, crazy. So that's a cool story man. You don't get to hear stuff like that all the time. That's what I like hearing man, then background stories. All right, I'm only putting this out there for cousin and but I'm sure there's a ton of Alexa Grasso fans out there. So Alexa Grasso won the submission of the year award In the world MMA awards for her submission win over Valentina chef Chanko, ufc 285 with the face crank.
