Speaker 1:

Hey, welcome to this week's episode of Chingasso's Combat Crew. You're one stop shop for all your combat news Only the stuff you all care about out there. We got some MMA news UFC, ibjjf and the return of one of our good old buddies. Looks like I'm going to be rolling solo on this one, so it's just going to be me and all you out there. Fonzo, have a safe trip. My man Cause an aunt's out there doing this thing right now. So buckle up everybody and get ready for this new show. All right, all right, we're going to start off. You know how we have a little bit of fun on this show. Last week we had a crazy UFC fight night card and something that we didn't really talk about was the Norma Dumont and Chelsea Chandler fight. Now there was some major, major beat between these two ladies at the weigh-ins. They had to get separated so they were about to settle it in the cage and it was like night and day between these two ladies. One of them came to fight, the other one looked like she came to run. Let's check out this. Epic. Epic Reddit. Reddit. Epic edit. I guess Check it out. I found this on Reddit, thought I shared the video with y'all. Super hilarious. It was posted by somebody named you, spyro, but check this out. Epic edit posted by you. Raw underscore, power underscore on Reddit. Here we go for all the Sonic the Hedgehog fans out there.

I'm back.

Speaker 1:

If you're out there listening, you definitely want to head over to the YouTube page so you can check out that video One more time. For everyone out there listening, Head over to YouTube and look for us at C underscore combat crew One more time see underscore combat crew so that way you can see all the videos, all the pics, everything that we're going to be talking about. But I'm going to describe this for you guys like I always do, and as I get into the next door, I'm going to kick it off by shouting out Fonzo one more time, and like Fonzo always likes to say, it's Sunday, fun day. Let's get into some news here. All right, I am happy, happy to announce that one of the good old organizations is back. It looks like my K one kickboxing will be making a return September 10th, yokohama Arena. If you have not had the lucky I don't know how would I say this If you haven't had the chance to ever watch a K one event, go back, youtube it. Anything you want, anything that they have, I guarantee you is going to be a barn burner Fun matches to watch, all stand up battles, the best kickboxers on the planet, and the next couple of weeks, me and Fonzo and cousin and we'll put a list together of our favorite K one fights to get you guys a little a little history on K one. But K ones coming back and they're teaming up. They're teaming up with one of our grappling favorites, quintet. So on that September show we're going to get a treat of not only kickboxing but jujitsu. So it looks like it's going to be a 14 tournament Maybe. So let's go over the teams here. It looks like we got team sock, team Sakuraba, actually team 10th planet, team new wave and team poll. Let us let me go over the members of each team Team Sakuraba, obviously being being led there by Kazuchi Sakuraba, the old pride FC veteran, daisuke Nakamura. I believe Nakamura is one of his staple members of his team, as well as high sum Rita, adcc, who's number one that making a splash again, he's a bit of this type of event. Go back and check out his match, I believe, like Quintet. Two was team Sakuraba versus team 10th planet. He had a killer match with Richie Martinez, but then he had to face El Cucuy and Geo next. That's always a fun match up to watch. But let's go back and get over these. Go over the members of these teams. So, after high sum Rita, team socks also has Tomosigui Serra and another member that has yet to be named. Team Polaris Looks like it's led by. Actually, I don't know if it's led by, but here are the members. Owen Livesley you're gone. Oh, flanigan, if you guys don't aren't familiar with, you're gone, you're gone. Had a major, major splash in ADCC this last year, scored a couple of upset victories, including one over our boy, mason Fowler, that nobody saw come in. Who else is on this team? Mateus Sezynski, santere Lillias and Gregor Gracie, team 10th planet members. Geo Martinez, richie Martinez, amir Alam, adcc vet PJ Barge and ADCC and who's number one vet? Kyle Bohm, team 10th planet, coming in stacked man, team New Wave here, team New Wave being led by Giancarlo Boudani, blasio Santos, isaac Michelle, isaac Michelle leaving B team and jumping back in with Gordon and the boys over at Team New Wave. So that'll be fun, fun to watch. Also joining Team New Wave is Reese LaFave and Abraham Lamontogne Totally butchering that name, but those are the four teams. September 10th looks like maybe about six, seven weeks away from that matchup. So that'll be a fun, fun event to watch. So it looks like everyone's kind of jumping on that mix following one championships flow of combining different varieties of martial arts grappling, kickboxing, mma but uh, looks like K1's going to start with some kickboxing and grappling, so I'm down for that. So if you're not familiar with the quintet ruleset, let me give you a quick background here. I pulled this up If you're watching on YouTube. I pulled these, this info, from Google. I started using, like the Google AI, and so give me some info here that I'm not quite sure if it all is true or not, but let me tell you what I do know. It says here the match starts with one fighter from each team competing Duh. The winners fight the next fighter from the opposing team. If the bout ends in a draw, both fighters are removed and the next fighter from each team enters the mat. If the last fighter on the team loses their bout, that team loses. Each team starts with five grapplers. If you win, you stay on the mat and you face the next opponent on the opposing team. Again, if there's a draw, you get eliminated. And here's the weird part. It says all submissions are legal. But then it says no heel hooks, no pile drives, no neck links, no scissor takedowns from standing position or jumping into closed guard. And here's a cool little rule set. That they a little thing you don't see too often, because you have five team members. There is a max weight limit of 430 kilograms, so that's for the whole team. The whole team has to fit underneath that weight class. Each match is eight minutes long. It says if the weight difference is over 20 kilos then the match goes down to four minutes. If you want to see that in rule set, that rule actually being played, I believe it was quintet two where that was a team 10th planet taking on team Sakuraba, geo Martinez taking on, took on High Sum Rita, after High Sum beat his brother, richie, and they did have a four minute match, although Geo did not need all four minutes. So yeah, that's the rule set five member teams. Winner stays on submission only eight minute matches. Unless your opponent outweighs you by more than 20 kilos, then it's a four minute match. So really looking forward to this. Should be a one minute that they've got a new event coming up in November and I got to tell everybody out there. I'm for it. No competitors have been named yet. I'm not. I'm pretty sure it's going to be invite only, probably going to be like the top members of each weight class. They haven't named the weight class yet. Basically all the info that's came out is that it's going to go down at the pyramid in Long Beach November 19th. There will be six brackets for men's divisions to women's divisions, 15 K going to the winner of each division, and there are going to be other prizes as well, maybe for submission of the night or match of the night I'm not sure. That hasn't been announced yet and I was reading on Reddit. Someone was saying that they are going to be giving crowns out, so that would be kind of cool. I'm sure that's just a rumor, but that would be really cool for Nicholas Marigali to come back and do some IPJJF and win the crown. Bro, you're the king. Come get this crown, bro. It's there waiting for you. I'm sure we'll start to hear who some of the participants are in the next coming weeks, as the GEE season has wrapped up, and I'm pretty sure this is going to be GEE, but I imagine we'll see Tynan out there. We'll see Cole the Ruder Lowe's, anything with those guys in it man Fire, fire matches. Something else to look forward to. Thank you, ibjjf. Sticking with the grappling topic couple, I don't know if it was last week or the week before we announced that GSP wants to come out of retirement, not necessarily for MMA, but wants to start competing in Grappling tournaments or grappling super matches, and said he wanted to have a match in December. Well, gsp got his wish and he got a matchup. It looks like he's gonna be going up against Damian Maya, black belt, ufc veteran, 80 CC vet, I believe as well. Bro, this is gonna be a tough, tough match for GSP. I'm sure he's not looking past Damian, but, dude, this is gonna be interesting to see. Man, I know GSP likes to train with John Danner, her Gordon Ryan and what, and that was guys. So he's probably brushed up on the foot game a lot. I'm not sure if Damian likes to play that game or not, but he better pay careful attention. And Damian Maya is just one of those guys. He's like Cut from the same cloth as like a Marcelo Garcia time. He's ready for everything at all times. So GSP, better bring his a game that dying. You guys know that we've been on a mega, mega one FC trip over here and speaking of which one fight and I just had a Muay Thai matches this last Friday. They were on Friday morning on YouTube. If you haven't got a chance to watch it, like myself, sit down and watch bangers. Lots of people got Destroyed. I saw some awesome ko's awesome highlights already, so I'm definitely gonna have to go back and watch that, but that is neither here nor there, like I always like to tell Fondo and their next event Looks like it's gonna be one fight night, friday, august 4th. Couple of matchups that I'm looking forward to seeing is our boy Bouchesh off black belt short and air gonna be taking on Omar Kane. John Linnaker, ufc old school veteran, used to give Used to knock fools out and actually still doing the same thing over in one. It's gonna be taking on Kim Zhaei womb. So that should be an interesting match and a for all the Jiu Jitsu junkies out there. Mikey Musimichi Put in his belt online against Jared Brooks. So those are three matchups that I'm gonna be looking forward to watching it again one more time. You got that Amazon Prime account. Do yourself a favor and just go watch these. I took a lot of heat. This is last week because I told people already bros, go watch this one fight night event. And this was the one that was on, I believe, last week, and it was a mixture of Muay Thai, mma and Some grappling matches, and I didn't say that they were all MMA. I should have said, hey, it's a mixture of fights. So you know how the reddit crew is. They, they, they want the facts, man. So if you go back and watch that show, I believe it was like one grappling match, three MMA are three Muay Thai matches and four or five MMA matches. So I'm sorry, the entire card was not MMA, but they were heck of a, heck of a. It was a heck of a card with lots of fights. If you don't remember me saying, I believe it was like Seven out of nine finishes with five first round finishes, with a mixture of those being MMA and K and Muay Thai. So, yeah, it's not all MMA, but do yourself a favor, go out and check it out, all right? Next story, next story, sticking with one fight night. Oh, actually, let me share the whole card for you here, the whole card I got for you. I forgot I put this up. Elias Mo Moody taking on Edgar Tabades. Edgar Tabades, I remember, had a Muay Thai match against a super high level Kickboxer and just got destroyed in his last time out, so maybe they're giving him a softball opponent this time around. We'll see Bantam weight MMA match between John Lowe Mark Sangai. We're taking on Eakin Orgil. Bat crew submission grappling match between Rodrigo Marello taking on Diego Patista. Heavyweight kickboxing match between Arrage Aziz poor taking on Ahmed Kringick. Lightweight Muay Thai match with Liam Nolan taking on Rune Grie Sitstow. Binong women's Adam Wake kickboxing match. Supergirl Jaroonsack taking on Christina Morales. I'm hearing that that's gonna be fire, fire, fire matchup Again. John Linnaker taking on Kim Jaewoon got Bantam weight. Further weight kickboxing match. Taiwan. Chi PK Sanchai Taking on David Kedia. You know that's gonna be a bar and burner. Sanchai always be bringing the heat on our boy, marcus Almeida. Hopefully he's gotten better at takedowns, cuz I want to say they look pretty trashy in his last time out. So as he starts progressing Through the rankings he's gonna be fighting people that are really good at stopping the takedown and His stand-up is nowhere near where it needs to be in order for him to implement his ground game. So he's got a lot of work to do. I hope he's not slacking off, but uh yeah, he's gonna be taking on Omar Kane in a heavyweight matchup. Co-main event gonna be Mikey Musimachi taking on Jared Brooks and the main event of the night Fair, the weight kickboxing matchup between Chinggis, aliz off taking on Mara Gregorian. Looks like I'm going with Chinggis, just cuz it sounds like Chinga. So yeah fun, fun matchup. And, as I was saying before, I got to this one more and coming, some prime subscription To grappling or actually not to grappling matches, but two matches that I'm looking forward to the main event, stamp fair text taking on Ham Say, oh he. For the Adam weight championship and for all the jujitsu junkies again, man, they just keep giving us jujitsu matches on these cards. Danielle Kelly taking on Jessa Khan for the I'm not sure what weight class it is, straw weight championship, I believe, but it is for a strap, so looking forward to that One doing their thing keeping the heat rolling. All right, there's a whole entire card for that has not been released yet, but it looks like there's four matchups. Let me go over them for everybody out there, for everyone listening. Women's straw weight bout Jean Jean non taking on not Jadon sock. Women's Adam weight some submission grappling match that I announced. Danielle Kelly, jessa Khan. So it's for the Adam weight belt I'm sorry, I said straw weight. The women's straw weight. Muay Thai matchup featuring Smilia Sundell taking on Jackie Bundan. And the main event that's already been announced for the women's Adam weight championship and that stamp fair text taking on I'm CEO. Yee, yeah, all right, man rumor earlier in the week. One of the boys messaged me when I got off work and was like yo check this out. And I started Scouring through the Reddit files, scouring through the interweb, that I couldn't find anything. So this was looked like someone's just blowing smoke. What am I talking about? I'm talking about you did UFC by Bellator. I believe this was Wednesday morning this rumor dropped. I don't know who announced it. I don't know if somebody just randomly Said, hey, I'm gonna put this on Reddit or I'm gonna put this on Twitter and see where it goes, but it didn't go very far. Not sure if everybody out there heard, but the rumor was that UFC bought Bellator. And why did people jump on that? Because, for Bellator, bellator fighters showed up on the UFC roster. I. Who were those four UFs? I'm sorry, who are those four Bellator fighters? Michael Venom page, who just happened to be Sitting as a guest at last night's ultimate fight night Aspen all versus Tidebura. We'll talk about that. Lynn a little bit. Also a fighter that showed up on the roster. Aj McKee, the mercenary. Patrickie Friery and Patricio Friery, the Fieri brothers, the pit bull bros. So unfortunately, it was just a rumor because as soon as it went up. It was taken down. I can't remember who it was that confirmed, but somebody contacted UFC PR or HR and they confirmed that no, that was a mistake. They didn't say why. But how does that happen? How do you put up for fighters that aren't even on your roster, unless you know something and you were told that that's not supposed to be out yet? So we'll see, we'll see what happens with that. Would be nice to see those guys over in the UFC. So that just got me thinking. You know what were some, what are some matchups that we would see? You know, I know that Venom page. He's been fighting for a while but there still would be some really, really exciting fights for him, you know. But him and Wonder Boy has been talked about a lot as a fun matchup. You know him and Vicente Luque would be a cool matchup. Him and JDM would be a really good matchup. I don't know if Venom has anything for the top five, maybe even top. Hey, you know, jeff Neal and Venom might be a good matchup. Wonder Boy, venom good matchup. But I think Shafka Durinio, cosmod, bilal Kobe, kamaru think those guys just exploit him and use their wrestling to take him down, as he didn't really face Too many of that caliber of wrestlers or grapplers, so it'd be interesting to see what he, what he would do over in the UFC. Who else would be coming over? Aj McKee AJ McKee is one of the best, if one of the top five, lightweights in the planet that I personally feel is not in the UFC, and he would be fun, fun to watch against, charlie olives against and Benny. Him and Benny would be a burner. Him and Chandler would be a burner. Him and Rafa bz's would be a burner. Matias Gamera anybody with a strong grappling game and strong striking game, I believe would make for an awesome, awesome fight. I think the only people that might give him Trouble would be the guys that are the heavy, heavy strikers that can avoid the takedowns and keep the fight standing like a Justin, like a Dustin, but still they would be some entertaining fights to watch, and so any of the matchup that I just announced would be fun for him. About the steel against folk, pertice you against Yair, patricio against Max, patricio against Elia. Any of those matchups would be Awesome. And again, these are like the upper level, upper echelon caliber fighters at Bellator has at their disposal that you know, unfortunately, looks like they're gonna be going to someplace else. Hopefully they end up on a roster. Hopefully they end up in a place that's got a roster, that it's gonna benefit their legacy, allow them to put up matches that we are excited to watch, that allow them to extenuate their tools and Help them make tons and tons of money. So, looking forward to see what happens, moving on Sticking with the rumors and this was crazy. I don't know why these guys just started doing this. Maybe they were bored, maybe they're trying to move the needle, but earlier in the week, alexander Volkanovsky the go Started talking, trying to blow smoke up Makachev's booty, saying you run in, brother, you don't want this smoke. Trying to do anything to antagonize Islam. Trying to do anything To maybe have the UFC send a contract to both of these guys's way, but it looks like it's not gonna happen because of what we'll see in a little bit. But let's see how this little Twitter battle went. So it started with Alex calling out Islam. Then Islam said Sign the fire or take the fight. And then, while that was going on, ilya was like yo, I'm here too, bro, where are you running? Where are you running speaking about Voke? So Ilya's Ilya thinks that Vokes got unfinished business at 145. Islam's wants Voke up to finish. They got unfinished business for sure, but sounds like they all these parties are just bored because Major, major fights got announced soon after that. Let's kick it off. Ikrom, I see Kerov was supposed to be taking on Paulo Costa. I believe Monday or Tuesday. That fight was called off. They did not say why, other than it was canceled. And then everyone's just starts trolling Paulo Costa saying they once again he pulled out of his fight. Well, he was taking it for a while. And then, I believe Paulo Costa like yo, ufc announced it, announced what's gonna happen and right after that they announced a Banger. They announced that for the Dubai card, paulo Costa is gonna be taking on Chamaev. So Islam I'm sorry, not Islam Start over three two. So UFC announced that in October in Dubai, our boy called Paulo Costa gonna be taking on the recce machine, cosma Chamaev. Looks like that's gonna be the co-main event, because the main event was a matchup that people, I Guess we wanted to watch it and it's it. It makes sense. You know. They announced what am I talking about? Islam Makachan versus Charles Olivera, part two in the desert. Why did they announce that? I mean, well, we got Dustin and Justin fighting next Saturday. No matter what happens with those two guys, they definitely will not be ready for October, because that's gonna give them a little less than Two months to be ready for that fight. So they're not gonna be ready for that. On top of that, both of those guys lost to Charlie already. So why would both of those guys get a shot over Olivera now? Olivera looked super impressive in his fight against Benio de Rios. I don't see why anyone else would Cut the line in front of him. So it makes sense, even though, again, that's not what we wanted. But hey, we'll see what happens. Man, I don't think what do you guys think? You guys think it's gonna we're gonna see the same thing? You think we're gonna see Islam just steamroll olivera? Or do you think that Olivera learn from his mistakes and it's gonna implement a different game plan? I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I I'm hoping the latter Comes true. You know, I just I kind of looked like olivera had a bad night that night for for darn sure, and that's what he said kind of looked like he was a little scared, maybe, uh, overwhelmed at times. I'm not sure, but he's a UFC fighter bros. He's been in there before. Against the best of the best, I don't think he's gonna go out the same way he did this last time. So, hey, let's see what happens this time around. So, yeah, looking forward to this car, looking forward to Charlie olives and market chef and seeing chamiah back in the cage it's been a minute I'd almost forgot like what this dude is capable of. And then I saw this video. So, one more time, ready highlight. Check this out. Chamiah Effing stuff up. And this says, dude, everyone that chamiah has fought, he has finished. Well, everybody, except for a durinio. Durinio, the only one who's been able to survive. But, dude, check out this awesome highlight reel Posted on the UFC subreddit by guys jot to Something cool. Look it up, or you can just follow our, check out our video on YouTube and you can see who it is ragdolls, kevin Holland, the scrambles in this just Unbelievable man. And I know Kevin Holland was the last second replacement in this. But Chamiah did exactly what you're supposed to do to people in that situation, you know just make short work of them. So, hey, looking forward to october, all right, who the? fuck is that guy, man Hunter would totally, totally be heading on this, because we're talking now about Khabib's little brother, umar Nurmurq Amidop supposedly was supposed to be taking on Corey Sandhagan at ESPN 50, the main event and he sustained an injury in training. So let's look at the video. I found this again on Reddit, but it looks like he sustained a shoulder injury. I don't know if he tore a ligament, I don't know if it's a dislocated shoulder. Let's watch this little spark.

Speaker 2:

Two minutes.

Speaker 1:

But there it is. That's what it was. It looked like man and Him and his opponent kind of collided. I'm not sure, but something ended up happening and his shoulder took Back there and the last couple of minutes where his shoulder constantly pops in and out, and I guess now he's finally going to have surgery to get that taken care of. So heal up soon, umar. We can't wait to see you back in the cage. But the show must go on, right, everybody Show must go on, and the UFC already announced a backup and Someone who wanted to get in on the dance wasn't able to, and that's Adrian Yanez. Adrian Yanez, I guess, put his name in the hat and asked if he could have the fight. But UFC had other plans. Because UFC said nah, bro, take a seat, we're going to have number seven, rob Font, taking on Corey Sanhagen. This fight just got a whole lot more interesting because I feel like he's going to have a lot more interesting, because I feel whoever wins this fight could potentially be setting themselves up for a title shot. So either a title shot they got to fight him, a Rob or a title shot, that's it. But both of those, both of those paths, eventually are going to leave to a title if not first, right. So yeah, that's going to be cool. August what? August 10th? I believe it's going down August 5th, I'm sorry, five days, even earlier. So that is going to be sick. Six, six, six, five. Oh, ufc dropped another barn burner here for us. Ufc announced that number two ranked heavyweight Cyril Gahn is going to be taking on number eight ranked heavyweight, sergei Spivak as the UFC returns to Paris, france, saturday, september 2nd. So we'll get to see Gahn back in the cage. You know who I really would have liked to see in this. Instead, I would have liked to see Cyril and Tom Aspinon, because we'll talk about Tommy asked tiny Tom Aspinon a little bit, but looking forward to see Cyril Gahn. This is a classic striker versus grappler matchup. This is a really good test. I'm glad the UFC did this kind of in a way, because Cyril's ground game was trash. John, super exposed in last time round, made short work of him. What was it Like? A minute something, not even a minute, I think it took him. But now Cyril's got to climb back up the hill and if he can make a statement here, he can let the UFC and the world know that he's ready to fight for the belt one more time. So we'll see, man. Hopefully he's gotten better at stopping takedowns and dropping bombs, because that's what he's good at. So stick to what you know, bro. But you got to know everything, because in the UFC, everyone's good at everything. Oh, oh, oh oh. Msg November 11th. Ufc already announced a while back that John was going to headline the Madison Square Garden UFC card and he was going to be taking on Steve A Miochic, which you know we're all not, at least in my personal opinion. I'm not super excited for that matchup, but we'll talk about that in a little bit. But now it looks like it's official, and Leon Edwards is going to be taking on Kobe Cumberton in the co-main event at Madison Square Garden on November 11th. What do y'all think about this man? I think this is going to be a good, good matchup. I don't know how Kobe leapfrog Bilal, because I feel like this should be Bilal, but hey, bilal, take your time, bro. Just take a seat, show up and you fight the winner of this, but this is going to be an interesting matchup, man, interesting matchup. Let me propose a question to y'all out there, though. If you can only watch, if you were only allowed to watch one of these two matchups. You can only watch the co-main event of Leon Edwards taking on Kobe Cumberton or the main event of John Jones taking on Steve A Miochic. Which one of the two would you prefer? If you ask me, I would prefer to watch Leon and Kobe because I believe that's going to be more entertaining. I think they're both more evenly matched. As we get closer to that date and that fight, we'll break it down and talk about why they're evenly matched. But as far as pure fighting goes and entertainment, I would way rather see Kobe and Leon versus John and Steve A. We don't know where Steve A's at, and I like that. Dominic Cruz asked that question. What has Steve A been doing? Has he been training? We know he's been working as a firefighter. So if he's working full-time, how much time is he able to give to training and how serious is he about training? Because John Jones isn't the dude to take lightly. You know what I mean. If he's not at his best, he's going to get hurt, and that's the last thing we want to see. Not only do I not want to see Steve A get hurt, I don't want to see him get disrespected, and I think that's what John's going to come and do In the lead-up to the fight. In the fight. It's just bad man. It's almost like watching your friend get his ass beat and it's something you don't want to see. But it is what it is. Ufc's in the fight game and they make fights and these are the fights they're given to us. So one more time, what would you rather see? Leon Kobe or John Steve A? My votes for Leon Kobe. The fight that we were all hoping for looks like is not going to get me. What am I talking about? I'm talking about Isra El-Asanah and Drickus DuBlessis. Drickus looks like he has a foot or a leg injury, not too sure, so he's not going to be ready for the what is it? October card. Is that where they're fighting in Australia, ufc 293. He's not going to be ready. So it looks like the next man up and that next man up is none other than Sean Strickland. Bro, how does this fool fall into a title shot? I just I don't get it. He's so cringy, he's always saying stupid shit. But man, can the guy take a nassful? But man, can the guy eat a fist? Man, can the guy eat a kick? So he's been ever since Strickland got demolished by Pereda. He's been slowly grinding away, chipping away, taking fights, taking a beating, giving them out as well and just stacking wins. And he did that a couple of weeks ago and he seemed to impress UFC Brash. So he's the next man up and Adesanya already said you're up, bro, get ready. September 9th, australia going down, sean Strickland, israel, adesanya, and then we'll see what happens. Sean Strickland here has a very, very unique opportunity to play like the one of the biggest spoilers the UFC has ever seen. Because you know the UFC is salivating at all the sound bites, all the video that they got from Adesanya, and duplexes stare down in the cage cringy as F. But you know it's going to sell tickets. You know it's going to go crazy on social media. You know those, those media pressers are just going to be off the hook with shit talking going left and right. But hey, sean Strickland is damn good at talking shit himself. So I'm really looking forward to what he's going to say, what he's going to do leading up to this fight, because that dude just has surprises all the time and he don't give an F. He has no filter, so he could totally steal the show in more ways than one. Here. He could totally turn the tables, turn the cameras on himself, have everybody just focusing on him, focusing on what he's saying, focusing on all the bendahalas that are coming out of his mouth, and then, come September 9th, he could shock the world one more time and put Adesanya's lights out, because if Izzy is looking over Adesanya, over Strickland, hey, I don't know if Strickland really has got what it takes to take out Izzy on paper, but hey, everyone's got a puncher's chance. You never know what's going to happen. Everybody, you never know. Ah, fonzo, if Fonzo were here, I would be asking him right now, cuz it's tough talk time Ultimate fighter, season 31, episode 5. I'm sorry, episode 5, episode 8. We're almost done with this bad boy. Bonzo. Did you watch ultimate fighter, season 31, episode 8? No, Stupid son of a bitch. I already knew it. I already knew his answer. Of course he didn't, but that's all right, cuz I got Fonzo and I got all y'all. Let me give you the highlights of the show. Not too much you need to say, not too much you need to watch. The show started off with the previous fight had ended. You guys remember it was landing canyons getting triangle by Gosh, who was it? Jason night? Yeah, jason, I triangle landing canyons, the beginning of episode 8. Everyone's chilling after the fight having drinks. I'm pretty sure landing had a little too much because he was going up to Jason and asking him you know, hey, You're a good fighter but that's not my best. And this and that kind of just sounded like a White belt Talking to another white belt about how he almost passed coach's guard. That's what the conversation Sounded like. But Jason I played it super cool said Something that a coach would say like a you do your thing and if that's what you want to do, you keep doing that. But make sure that you do. But I've got a yada. So, jason, I dropping words of wisdom to Landon and the everyone watching Landon lay off the drinks when you're on camera, bro. Moving forward to the fight yo, the fight. Who was it on this one? I don't even know who fought. I'm sorry, guys, I don't even have the fight up here, but honor scene finally won. Gosh, darn, I can't not believe that. I did not put the names of the fighters here, but team chalice guy got Came in banging around one. They exchange a couple, a couple of blows, soon, as he saw that he was not gonna be able to hang with Conor's homie on the feet, he took him down, held him down, drop some G and P for a little bit. So I would probably give the first round to Chandler's homie 10 9. But come round 2, what one thing I did I forgot to mention in the training session. Conor's team was working on this Crazy uppercut and I was like man that ain't never gonna land because he's coming from so far. I would just look kind of ridiculous. But guess what it fn landed? He landed a crazy uppercut in round 2 to start the matchup, and I'm talking about Conor's guy. Conor's guy lands this uppercut, drops Chandler's dude and he follows it up with not one hammer fist but two Hammer fists, and not one after the other but at the same time like a double Donkey Kong Hammer fist, and he puts his lights out, ref jumps in, conor's team ends up winning and Conor goes crazy, offends the shit out of everybody. And now we're moving on to the next round. So we're in the semis. So it looks like it's gonna be one guy from Conor's team versus everybody else from team Chandler. So we'll see what ends up happening. All right, moving on. Moving on last night UFC fight, not on ESPN. If you got yourself an ESPN plus subscription, go check it out. On Paper, this didn't look like it was gonna be very fun fights to watch, but they actually were. They were pretty, pretty good. So what fight should you go watch or what fights Should you go watch? That's a really good question. I think I'm gonna go watch a fight. I don't know what I'm gonna go down. I'm talking about Danny Roberts taking on Johnny Parsons. Now, I did not know who either one of these guys was, but they were both throwing everything but the kitchen seek at each other. They were trying to take each other's heads off. Let me show you the finish here. This is Johnny Parsons. Both of these guys dead, tired, but come round to Johnny was like I got something for you, bro.

Speaker 2:

This is why they call me the slugger Autopilot, for sure.

Speaker 1:

Sounds like two cavemen going at each other bro anymore, he's just scrapping Both guys low on gas running out of time, johnny Parsons ends it with a one, two and then drops a couple hammers before the ref jumps in. So Again, I was saying I didn't know who either of these guys were. So I looked him up. Danny Roberts has 14 freaking fights in the UFC. Guys, 14 fights. He is seven and seven in the UFC and you're like, oh Whoa, how has he had that many fights? And I don't know who he is. I don't know, maybe I just don't pay attention. I looked up his wins. He doesn't have any really notable notable wins, but he's got some definite notable losses. So he's taking else to JDM Michelle Pereta, mike Perry and now Johnny Parsons. Who's Johnny Parsons? Well, this is Johnny's first fight After winning a Dana whites could be on Dana whites contender series. So he was on Dana whites contender series. He won by unanimous decision. But every single fight Except for that fight on his record has ended in a finish. So his nickname is the slugger knot. He did fight at welterweight, so 170 pounds. When this dude got on the mic afterwards he called out Patty Pimlet and Then in the post fight interview he was like yo, I'm tripping because that's a weight class below, but I'll do it he, so I get. I think he said he got like his wires crossed. He wasn't sure why he called out pity Patty, but he did say he would whoop his ass and that he would not mind going down in weight to beat that ass. So that would be a fun fight and if he does do that, patty might be in a world of hurt man because Johnny's got bombs. Bombs, bro, bombs. Next matchup I think you should definitely go watch. Up is number 11th ranked middleweight contender, andre Munez, taking on Paul Craig. Paul Craig formally fighting it at the light heavyweight division. So he dropped in weight first time here. Check this ish out, man. He did a hell of a hell of a. He had a hell of a time in this one, so it looks like.

Speaker 2:

I think gonna get on the side and look at this in the second round.

Speaker 1:

Second round From now dropping some elbows, making the ref step in, lord man.

Speaker 2:

Using the shot 20 seconds. We're taking a good look. Look at that man Just Uses to get you to get the superior position it's got.

Speaker 1:

got one hand tied up drop the knell bowl, uses that To create a distraction and then gets that s now. It just keeps dropping the elbows.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Paul Craig making a splash in the middleweight division looks like he's gonna be ranked come Monday he's probably gonna take A moon is a spot. I know this graphic here has Paul Craig ranked number nine, but I don't think he's even ranked at the middle way. That might be Lightweight division, let's see. I have the rankings here. Let's go to middleweight. Moon is Was ranked 14, I'm sorry, and Paul Craig is not ranked. So I would imagine Paul Craig's probably gonna jump Switch spots with up moon, as now he's probably gonna be ranked number 14. But hey, now he's in the rankings and he could slowly start moving his way up. And there's some good matchups, man. How about Brandon Allen in Paul Craig? That would be sick. Jack Hermansen, paul Craig, some jiu-jitsu, ground game, roman delizzi Some good, good matchups for Paul Craig here. So again, congratulations. Paul Craig just looked like moon is ran out of gas because he he did pretty good in the first round, scored His own takedown, got some, got some strikes landed, but come the second round he was just gassed, just gassed, all right, next fight you need to go watch. How did me ball Molly McMahon get to co-main this show? I have no idea, no clue. Molly McMahon taking on Julia Storia Lenco. Molly just got her butt whooped in her last fight so this kind of felt like the UFC was giving her a softball. But Maybe not really, cuz she sucks against grapplers and Julia is a legit Ground game specialist. So check out the ending of this, exactly where Storia Wants to be right now. Yeah, the whole. Yet taking the back to work quickly.

Speaker 2:

Look like she had a rear naked for a little bit, but Molly fall out of it.

Speaker 1:

Where she left her arm. She leaves the arm and Storia Lenco grabs it. And I don't know if you guys saw this at all, but I thought Molly was safe for a while. She was safe and then she decided that she's gonna roll over and allow her arm To be exposed and she gets that shit right like an effort. So congratulations to Storia Lenco. She pulls off a major upset Dang it. I wish I would have did a little more research on this fight because this was an easy yeah, I mean it. She made it look super easy. So let's see what happens next. Molly, get to the end of the line, kid. Main event. Main event was a fight that a lot of people were waiting for. That was Tom Aspinall taking on Mars in Tibera. You guys don't remember Tom Aspinall coming off of that knee injury when he fought Curtis Blate, took a free kick and just I don't know, look like his NCL ACL just Bloated. So he had been out for a while. And again, I was saying I wish the UFC would have matched up Aspinall versus Cyril gone, because Aspinall looked in Prime form last night. Tibera had nothing for him. Let's get to the highlight of this. Guys, check this out. Here's the ending of the fight.

Speaker 2:

And Tom's got so worried about the hands. Now, if he wanted to level change, drive through with the double leg.

Speaker 1:

It's right there. Ask those guys hands y'all. Speed he is fast Got good footwork right there shout out Cali, fire, fire.

Speaker 2:

Thanks for telling you that the hands.

Speaker 1:

Now, if you wanted to level change, drive through with the double leg. It's right there that elbow check out that elbow he uses right here through the double leg. It's right there.

Speaker 2:

Oh, no, I said about oh.

Speaker 1:

So Aspinall uses one of those elbows at me and phones we're talking about that the Muay Thai fighters use where he just kind of stepped in like he was gonna come in for a right Straight, but instead he just kept the elbow out and then he followed that up with some punches, drop Tibera, and then the rest is history. The ref jumps in, stops the fight round one, but from the get-go Tibera had nothing for Aspinall. Aspinall would Dard in, drop a couple shots and before Ty Brewer could even finish his first punch, aspinall's already out of there. He's just punching air. So yeah, he was prepared for this fight. I would really love to see a zero gone. Tiny Tom Aspinall matchup man. So looks like we'll have to wait and see. Aspinall said that he is gonna be at the Paris car and when gone wins, which he's thinking that's probably what's gonna happen. Everyone else is thinking that says he's gonna step in the cage, he's gonna challenge gone once he beats. Gone, he wants John. John, though just announced or actually I don't know if he announced or if it's a rumor but John says that after he beats steep a, that's gonna be it, he's gonna retire. So John is from New York. He does want to, I guess, retire in front of his fans, in front of his home crowd. So We'll see what happens, man, there's a lot of contenders coming up, but Tom Aspinall is different, man, he's different. I'm excited to see what he does. I'm excited to see who the UFC puts up against him, puts up against him next. I mean he might even be able to leapfrog zero right now and take on John. You know what, if John just finishes steep a like Within two and takes zero damage, does John feel confident enough that he could Take on someone like Tom Aspinall, the hungry young lion who's got speed and power? I don't know, man, that's that would be a really fun matchup to watch. So hopefully John sticks around and we get to see what what ends up happening. Last thing before I cut you guys out, let you guys go. Not really cut you guys out, because I'd never cut you all out, but it's one thing that I want to make that I'm gonna drop right now.
