Welcome to our weekly blog where we’re going to be bringing you upcoming grappling events to watch and match ups to look out for as well as how to watch! This week we’re super lucky to have three events all on Saturday, November 20 AND all three events can be seen on Flograppling.
Fight 2 Win is hosting two events this weekend, first up it’s the Colorado State Championships. I haven’t been able to find too much info on this event other than it looks like a TON of BJJ schools from Colorado will be throwing the gauntlet down this weekend to see which school is the best, may the best school WIN! Schools involved are as follows: Grand Valley BJJ, Black Label BJJ of Cheyenne, Fulcrum Jiu Jitsu Academy , The Sanctuary BJJ, Catalyst Jiu-Jitsu, McMahon Training Center, 10th Planet Denver, Pagsuko Combat Club, Prime BJJ, and Grand Valley BJJ
The second event is Fight 2 Win Chicago starting at 5:00pm CST. As usual we’ll get to see some blue, purple, brown and black belt matches. You never know what you’re gonna get on these shows but the co-main event and main event are sure to be a couple of barn burners. Co-main event is Sam Nagai -250 vs Ricahr Noguiera +145. Nagai is coming in as a slight favorite but like I said you never know what you’re gonna get. The main event is Devhonte Johnson -400 vs Arnaldo Maidana +200. Devhonte coming off an over time loss to Mason Fowler in the North American ADCC East coast Trials -99Kg division and I’m sure he’ll be looing to get back on track, this match should be fireworks.
Next up Grapplefest 10 coming to us from all the way across the pond in Liverpool, UK. Now in order to watch this one live you’re gonna have to get up a little early to watch because the stream starts at 8:00am PST. We are in for a treat on this show as BOTH of the Ruotolo brothers will be on this card. Kade placing first at the North American ADCC East coast Trials -76.9Kg division will be facing ADCC trials -66Kg runner up Keith Krikorian. Keith will be moving up in weight for this one and TRUST me when I say you are NOT going to want to miss one second of this one.Tye Ruotolo recently announcing that he’ll be competing in the ADCC South American trials in early 2022 will be facing Nick Ronan at 77Kg and the main event for this show is gonna be AMAZING! Dante Leon will be taking on Oliver Taza for the Grapplefest 80Kg belt. Two high level competitors that will be looking to close out 2021 with a win and set themselves up to start 2022 on FIRE.
Come back next week for next weeks events and match up jiu-jiteiros!
